Technical Words

From The Anglish Moot

Jump to: navigation, search

One of the greatest works of Anglish is to give technical words which do not come from Greek or Latin roots. Most folk believe English plainly couldn't make words for such things without borrowing. Yet our brotherspeeches in Europe (German, Dutch, Swedish asf.) seem to fare much better than us on that point.

William Barnes, 19th Yearhundred poet, priest, and linguist, believed strongly in a "pure" English speech. He wrote books and articles on the sciences in his way of a "purified" English.
