The Nile ea is the longest ea in Africa, and sometimes thought to be the longest ea on Earth. It has two feedwaters: the White Nile, which rises about the Great Meres of mid Africa; and the Blue Nile, which starts at Tana mere in Ethiopia. The White Nile is the longer of the two.
The northern stretch of the ea runs almost wholly through dryland, from Sudan and into Egypt. The Nile ends after 6,695km flowing into the Mediterranean sea.
Every year the Nile floods and lays earth upon the nearby fields. Most of the folk living alongside the ea need this flood to live, for the earth makes crops grow well.
