The Wendle Sea, also known as the Middlesea or Midlandsea, as well as the Great Sea in yore, is a sea linked to the Great Atlantish Sea and almost fully hemmed in by the Midworld lands: on the north by Eveland and Anatolia, on the south by North Highsunland, and on the east by the Levant. The sea is sometimes thought a bit of the Great Atlantish Sea, although it is widely seen a as a body of water on its own.

In today's English, the name 'Mediterranean' comes from the Leeden mediterraneus, meaning "in the middle of the earth" (from medius, "middle" and terra, "world"). It stretches over nearly 965,000 miles², but the bit where it links to the Great Atlantish Sea (the Sound of Gibraltar) is only 8.7 miles wide.

It was one of the foremost ways for businessmen and wanderers to get about in olden times that let trade and swapping of knowledge go on between far off folks. Good knowledge of the stear of the Midworld lands is needed to understand the roots and growth of many of today's folks...?
