Jesus
From The Anglish Moot
Jesus (4 BCE – 30 CE) was a man who is believed by Christians to be the son of God. His followers call him Christ (from the Greek) or Messiah (from the Hebrew), both of which roughly mean 'the bedaubed one'. He is said to have worked wonders such as healing folks of ills both fleshly and of the soul, walking on water, stilling storms and timesing foods, he is also said to have read minds and healed hearts. He bragged about the gospel that he will help his folk from their sins.
He tholed beating and cursing before his death by roodfastening at the hands of the Romans and at the bidding of Jewish holy men. After three days, his followers hold that he rose from the dead; later he went up into heaven. Four books, known as Gospels, were written afterwards to tell of his life. Also, the letters of St. Paul of Tarsus tell of these happenings.
