The English Wordbook is for gathering all the words borrowed into Ancwe (Ancillary World English), or English 'book-idiom', and giving their match in Anglish/New-English.

Anyone is free to come up with a book-idiom English word and its Anglish/New-English match, or even another Anglish/New-English word to the one(s) already listed. Follow the layout which the other words are already in and bear in mind to put in any new word staffwisely.

The talkleaf is there should anyone wish to ask about a word, whether it is old or new.

If you have brought up a new Anglish/New-English word, you can go to How do I say? to bring it to heed to others.

Words in the left sile are words ongot in the book-idiom English Oxford Dictionary (OED), while those in the right sile are words that are made up.

Do not take any word out from the wordbook without first bringing it up in the talkleaf for that bookstaff or rune. There should be broad thwarehood on whether the word ought to be taken out or left.

For a list of etymological or other abbreviations used in these wordlists, see Offshortenings.
